Member States’ investment needs and financing options for the water sectors

The OECD and the European Commission's joint project on Member States' investment needs and financing options for the water sectors will take place in the European Parliament on 6 December. This cooperation project between the OECD and the European Commission is meant to support strategic thinking at EU and Member State level about the financing of the water sector in the years to come. The European Commission undertook this project with the OECD, under the umbrella of the Roundtable on financing water (more information on the Roundtable is available here). This conference will be co-hosted by Member of the European Parliament Mr Hansen.

When:                  Friday, 06 December 2019, from 8h30 – 18h00.

Where:                 European Parliament, Rue Wiertz 160, 1047 Brussels, Room JAN 6Q1. (Please take the entrance VEIL, where we will meet you and accompany you to the room, see also attachment)

This conference is meant to serve as a platform for sharing the final results of the analytical work as well as a discussion platform to exchange on experiences and best practices among Member State experts, representatives from international financing institutions and water experts. The target audience are experts with expertise in water-related investment and finance.

To attend the conference, you should register by filling in the online form (* also linked below) by 18 November. This is necessary to confirm their participation and ensure access to the European Parliament’s buildings.

Travel costs will not be reimbursed. The Commission preserves the right to limit the number of participants per organisation.

Next week you will receive the draft final report for this study. We would be glad to receive your comments no later than 8th December (as much as practical, comments should be consolidated per organisation). Please send your comments to Xavier Leflaive (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.).
