Next week, on Monday 11 and Tuesday 12 May EurEau will take part in a Stakeholders’ Dialogue with the European Commission in the framework of the Conference on “Eliminating Plastic and Microplastic pollution - an urgent need” in Brussels.

The Commissioner for Environment, Karmenu Vella, will outline the European Commission initiatives on the topic.

EurEau has been a forerunner on this issue and was able to anticipate the need to discuss with other stakeholders and decision makers about the pollution originating from plastic and microplastic.

A EurEau position paper will be approved later this week by the EurEau General Assembly and will be available shortly on the EurEau website.
