Spanish Association of Water Supply and Sanitation Management Entities (DAQUAS)
DAQUAS is the largest and leading business association in the urban water sector in Spain, with more than 300 members.
It emerged as a new unified brand, the result of the union of the Spanish Association of Water Supply and Sanitation (AEAS) and the Spanish Association of Urban Water Services Management Companies (AGA), whose careers provide more than 50 years of experience in the urban water services sector.
The Association encompasses entities operating supply and sanitation services, technology manufacturers and suppliers, research centres, public administrations and individual experts.
The associated managing entities (municipal services and public, private and mixed companies) provide full or partial supply, sewerage and treatment services to 80% of the Spanish population.
DAQUAS collaborates with all public administrations with competences in the sector within the central, regional and local administrations. In addition, he is a member of the FEMP and the National Water Council.
Besides, DAQUAS actively participates in relevant international organisations on issues related to the water cycle, such as EurEau, IWA, OECD, Water Europe and ISO.
