Competition: where is Sweden’s best water?

Sweden just conducted their fourth tap water competition, to find the best tap water in the country. Despite the Covid-19 problem, 104 participating municipalities were whittled down to the winning entry from Höganäs municipality.

The jury concluded that Höganäs’ water was “A winning water with obvious elegance and exquisite freshness. Here is balance, character and a sounding length”, or as the great Swedish poet Gustaf Fröding would say, "in every drop is a gemstone".

There are also three regional champions. In Norrland (North Sweden) the town of Boden came up tops, with Flen in middle-Sweden winning there, and then Ulricehamn having the best tap water for Götaland, South Sweden.
