Danish, German, Dutch, Norwegian and Swedish national authorities have submitted a proposal to ECHA to restrict per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) under REACH. These authorities have investigated different PFAS, their uses and the risks they may pose to people and the environment.
The European Commission has published its proposal for a revised CLP Regulation. We now need solid action such as the extension of the generic approach to risk management to all these new hazard classes
We need to lower the chemical burden on human health and on the environment. A timely revision of REACH is to plan and take accountability for the future.
